Hard to pick just one guy. Didn't Arrieta win 2 road games?

I dunno.

Down 1 game to 0, Jake pitches a real nice game 2. Obviously game six he was awesome also. 11 1/3 IP, 2 Wins, 15k's 2.38 ERA. If the series was managed a bit more conventionally he's probably closer to 13-14 IP.

Thought he was overlooked for MVP.

I think the offense made it easy for Jake to not fuck it up. They scored early and often in both games.

So how does that diminish what he did?

Sure, they made it easy for him, but he executed. He still had to get it done. The offense made it easy for Lester, Chapman, and Edwards in game 7 and they didn't put it away like Jake did.

Winning two WS games on the road is pretty good. JORR approved.

It doesn't. I just think Hendricks and Lester had to pitch tougher games.

Man, I don't know. Lester pitched a game 5 at home down 3-1. That's almost nothing to lose there.

Jake had to start game 6 on the road against the DH to force a winner take all game.

I'll grant you that game 7 probably was a tougher game, but to your point earlier, the offense made it "easier" on Hendricks.

Regardless, shows that it takes a whole team to win the WS if we are just having this conversation.

It does. Lester earned his contract with his play in the WS. Hendricks may be the ace in a couple of years.

This team has many MVP's. I've never seen so many different players step up and become heroes.

Yes he did. The whole reason he was brought here is what he did this post season. I didn't like the signing at first and was wrong. Ill complain much less when he's 10-13 next year for sure.

I was definitely wrong about Lester and Zobrist. I won't complain at all about them in the future. I stand by my Lackey hate.

Lackey was all about the "big game" gusto and he lasted 4-4-5 IP in his 3 post season starts. 0 Wins.

That said, he chewed up 190 IP with nice numbers during the regular season. If he wasn't such an ass he'd be easier to swallow.
