Aroldis Chapman has stated that he "Would love to be a Yankee again". And it seems the Yankees have an interest in bringing him back to the Bronx as well. While he is considered by many as a premier closer, I will not be at all upset if he goes back to the Yankees. I hope Jansen is the guy the Cubs sign. He throws almost as hard, has more movement on his pitches and throws more innings, with the capability of going 2-3 innings in an appearance. Plus, he has never been arrested for domestic violence, so he's easier to root for. Let the guy who gives up 3 runs in the 7th game of the World Series and then cries like a big girl get on down the road.

No, he is currently a free agent, but last played with the Cubs. So it's appropriate. You should worry more about your shitty White Sux.

Aroldis Chapman was also never arrested for domestic violence.

Okay.....Jansen has never shot a gun 8 times in his garage and choked his girlfriend, resulting in a suspension. Given the facts that came out from the incident, he should have been arrested and probably served time in jail. One of the bullets went though a window in the garage into an open field. That constitutes reckless discharge of a lethal weapon, which could have been prosecuted separate from any domestic violence charges. I would have arrested him without a doubt.

Really should have tried to outspend the Yankees here.

Yeah, he’s not that much more expensive per year than Kimbrel. Davis paid off for 2 years at least. Wonder how much more it would have taken to get Chapman since he seemed to want to go back to NY.

Davis was here one year.

IIRC, Chapman talked about returning to New York while with the Cubs. They would have had to overpay ridiculously to keep him.
