Suter is pitching a hell of a game. It's not a mirage. You can actually see it IRL.

Someone who outpitched an alleged top 10 starter in the major SN .

Just another cypher who gets in a game with The Great Quintana and pitches better than he does.

His first two games where he went 2-0 don't count. Instead, we will cherry pick the first game that he got "outpitched."

 Or we can look at 175 starts.

I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt when he was pitching on a Frankenstein team who has the worst record in baseball.

Quintana has had 3 quality starts since being traded to the Cubs. He's pitched 19 innings and given up only 5 earned runs. So far it's been a good experience.

I'm not sure what Quintana can do to help the Cubs hitters figure out Suter? The point that you're trying to make is a real mindfuck.

Could he pitch at least as well as Suter while facing an inferior offense?

Yeah dude, I'm very content with Quintana giving up 2 in 6 innings against the Brewers.

Brewers are 5th in the NL in runs scored, and that is higher than the Cubs. Can't quite call the Brewers an inferior offense.

You're really gonna make this statement while preaching sample size? Do we just throw out his first two games? Are you really trying to seek truth, as you claim you are, or are you just seeking to validate what you already believe with cherry-picked nonsense?

Like I said, total mindfuck. One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other. The Cubs offense is clearly to blame for this loss.

Good for you. We know you can't be happy with anything else that's going on in the MLB.

If Quintana goes 6 with 2 ERs in every start from here on out, Cubs win the division going away.
