Parts of Cubbie Nation are very worried about the health of other board members.

He tried so hard to make that a thing.

by the time it did happen, the phrase had become passé and he had been banned from his family's seats. A mutual friend told me he did make a few dollars from the phrase.

Glad you put the asterisk in there. Is that for the rain delay, the MANY injuries the Indians had, or for the routine flyball that nobody caught in game 6?

Amazing to see a Great team like the White SOx has never made the postseason in consecutive seasons. Sad!

Wow. Try and give the 2017 Cubs credit and this is how I am treated.

Don't disrespect the 2016 Cubs with talk like that.

They were the outlier, favored from the beginning of the season and ran the table.

I understand the envy from the Subdivision. The Sox are trying to mimic Theo's rebuild but they are failing miserably at it.

Tis true. Can't even tank properly. Very sad!

Not many Chicago champions have gone wire to wire in completely dominate fashion.

2016 Cubs, 2013 Blackhawks, 1996 Bulls, 1985 Bears

I wouldn't mind seeing them win the WS. Rather that than the Indians

Technically, the Cubs didn't go wire to wire.

I'm assuming you know the 2005 Sox went wire to wire and last year's Cubs didn't. You should be ashamed of this post.

Oh, and the 2005 White Sox did go wire to wire but this isn't a thread about the 2005 White Sox.

To be honest, I don't think the Cubs are going to be able to take down the mighty Dodgers this year. That's said, to win the World Series, then come back and make the playoffs is just amazing. Juxtapose that with the 2005 White Sox that won the world series, then took two years off from playoff baseball.

Yeah, unless he meant high-wire to high-wire (in the playoffs).

Seeing as how no National League team has repeated in 40 years I think it's a safe bet they won't .
