Most of the responses to his last clusterfuck of threads was that he lost his fastball and doesn't troll as well as he used to. Help him out before tomorrow morning. What can he use outside of Maddon being an idiot?

Cubs are down 2-0 and look likely to not advance.

If he can't get an easy K on Cubs Nation tomorrow morning then he never will be able to again. We are at our most downtrodden.

The Cubs made the NLCS 3 times in a row and only won one world series?

If it were me on the Sox side, I would work some sort of "Window is closing on this team" thing.

I think we tried that back in May and it didn't work out too well. I like your ideas though. Come back with another one.

I dont see him staying beyond the current deal, which is 3-4 more years?

He should go to the Browns.

Cubs have to reload a bit. The very necessary moves in going for it the last two years have left the cupboard a little bare.

I think it's ok to have a bare cupboard if the table is full. Cubs are fine.

They should be good for another year or 2 at least. But you do have to replace guys like Torres and Jimenez.

Yeah I mean , it would be pretty fucking stupid to attempt to troll a team that's coming off a World Series win and 3 consecutive LCS appearances while the team you root for hasn't sniffed the playoffs in years wouldn't it? Even Sox fans arent that dumb.

Is this "3 consecutive LCS" talking point going to become a thing?

Like the vast majority of annoying things in this world, I think we can safely blame leash for this too.

Of course that's a thing. It's very impressive.

Especially since they won 1 and its not some Buffalo Bills/Eagles type thing

You're half right. Because they won it all, it's unbecoming to invoke the three straight thing. That's acting like they are the Bills/Eagles(I guess we can't quite put the Rangers there)

It probably will until next year when it becomes 4.

I'm obviously a casual baseball fan but I can't tell you any other team that has done it. I assume the Yankees did in the 90s. As for the Bills, that was 4 championship appearances.

I guess I just view it differently, and surprisingly I'm the one who thinks that the better team normally wins playoffs series, but I don't think make the semi-finals three times in a row is all that impressive. The World Series trumps all of that by a large margin.

To put it another way, if I offered this:
1) Three straight LCS apperances, no World Series title.
2) One playoff apperanace, World Series title.

I take 2 without question. I don't think there would even be a thought on taking 1.

On the surface, it is impressive.

Their overall record in those LCS appearances is 4-8 right now. A 4-10 or 5-10 record seems to be a real possibility.

Yes, Championships are most important. They got one, so all good.

3 straight trips to the playoffs is impressive. 3 straight years to the Championship Series means you're winning in the playoffs consistently. It is impressive.
