Quintana is fine if you keep your expectations in line.

He's a solid #3 who sometimes looks like he's better and some times worse.

Nationals are 10-12, Dodgers are 10-10

The only people panicking about the Cubs record are the Sox fans and the Cub fans are the only ones panicking about the Sox rebuild. Weird

BTW, it gets tiring seeing Rizzo and Schwarber hit right into the shift. Schwarbs ripped one yesterday to the right side, and Story made a nice snag. We've already seen signs with Baez that is is willing to go the other way, and it has improved his entire plate coverage. Here's hoping the two lefties focus more on going away. Plus I had to love Rizzo getting pissed when he was hit by a pitch yesterday. I swear his arms are over the plate. What would you expect?

Ban shifts

How about learn to go the other way? If Nellie Fox were playing nobody would put a shift on him. The game has a real problem. All my life I've heard littlebrains say that "baseball is boring". Nothing could have been further from the truth. But somehow the powers that be have figured out a way to make the greatest game boring. The littlebrains are finally correct. Baseball has become boring. The fetishization of the walk with every batter running the count as long as possible and then attempting to hit the ball over a shift and into the stands before the at-bat most often culminates in a strikeout. It's truly dreadful to watch.
