And Maddon knows this is his last year. Even with a World Series victory, Maddon is gone. Because Maddon wants to be gone. After a World Series, Theo would be forced to extend him. And Maddon will say "Fuck you, I don't want to come back." Then some other team will sign him for 8 million per year.

Roberts has done a pretty good job, imo.
