I think we should contemplate moving, or at least recognize that we are maybe not the right organization to own the Cubs.

For instance they were never taught that Columbus was a slave owner.

OMG. Just saw Tribune front page at the Newseum in DC. The heading is “Meet the Cubs’ $900 Million Man” with a big photo of Tom next to it. Which is disappointing.

I definitely think we should request that various friends, specifically [redacted], not speak to the press for now.

I didn't know the specifics about Joe Ricketts and his politics even though I had heard enough to have an idea. I had been mostly ignoring it since I enjoyed following the Cubs so much over the past couple seasons. This article and these emails are very troubling to me and if the Cubs move to Sinclair as reported that might be more than I can stomach.

I don't think the Ricketts children are very bright.

1) Rahm didn't flinch seven years ago when they made each of their threats and then essentially negotiated against themselves

2) Confirming rumors today that you were seriously considering leaving seven years ago is foolish. You are now stuck in that park forever after investing half a billion + and rehashing the incident only creates bad will.
