Money will not be an issue

Their own tv station and rooftops and real estate. Revenue!

Those Christmas present $30K antique books cost money. Can’t blame the Ricketts for re-allocating the Harper fund into becoming more learned business men.

Yea, this is kind of sad for dolphin. Willie Mays on the Mets type stuff.

Cant wait to bump this every time a Sox fan complains about Cubs coverage (relevance)

No, it's great. He is really putting himself out there.

I don't see it much different than the large amount of posters in the Sox section that are going to look dumb if Mr. Reinsdorf pulls this off because "JERRY DOESN'T SIGN PLAYERS SINCE ALBERT BELLE!".

I am actually hoping the Sox do sign Machado to a 10yr deal. Worked out great for all the teams in the past.

Nah, he's making zero sense and the Cubs will always be more relevant than the Sox (like God intended)

which one of those players was 26 when signed?

The Sox would be getting all the prime years for Machado that those previous contracts didn't get and fewer of the declining years. Maybe I misunderstood you and your argument is that Machado is going to suck from 26-31.

You sound worried.

And now it's contagious. You are losing your fastball. You guys need to get some new posters to take over for you, you're just way passed your prime.

Honestly, I don't really care what the Sox do, but to play the "More relevant than the Sox" card comes off as a little desperate.

I guess maybe you should talk to the Sox fans who have cried about it all of our lives. Im just repeating what they tell me about the press and coverage, etc

And honestly, the White Sox won a world series and get zero respect and it was largely forgotten outside of Chicago. They've just never been very relevant regardless of how good they are.

What point are you making here? Is that White Sox fans are right?

Haven't seen RPB post this often about the White Sox in awhile. Worried status definitely confirmed.

Yes, cried.

Not sure how else to describe people measuring column inches.

What point are you making here? Is that White Sox fans are right?

The point is the White sox are never really relevant

So, if Sox fans or anyone else says that then they are right

If they say the opposite, they are wrong.

I forgot how I have to make things overly simplistic for the average Sox fan to understand.

I hope the White Sox get good again as soon as possible. No hatred here.
