If they boot the Milwaukee series he's gone.

Too soon. They will put their tail between their legs and put Darvish on the DL and blame him for everything.

You can't fire the manager before the home opener.

He will get 60 games.

Why not? They fired everyone else around him and told him how to do his job.

I'm not sure how firing Joe makes the bullpen throw strikes.

Some people in the pen need to be cut or sent down.

The pitching coach, they don't even have one, he's already being micromanaged by Borzello. At least Bosio and and Hickey were professional coaches. Whatever they did to piss off Hickey, dumb.

If Theo had any balls he’d Popovich himself into it. But Bob Hill wasn’t as nearly as credentialed as Maddon so might not work out.

Yeah! And it's not like he went out there and told Darvish to be done after 4IP/71pitches... Joey U-Mad aka da DON can only work with what he's given! And he's been given a heaping helping of.hooey by not even Theo or the Rickett clan, but moreover the greedy ass city of.chicago.who has done everything in their power to impede the Cubs' revenues by not subscribing to the #EverybodyIn ethos!

Seriously, if all those rooftop leeches and greedy neighborhood folk did their part to give a little something for the greater good maybe, just maybe, the Rickettses would be able to compete in today's baseball marketplace. But by denying the Cubs their much needed revenue for countless years on end, really chicago, you only need to look into the mirror to find out the REAL reason why the Cubs still suck. Just remember that they needed their Triangle Building years ago but NOOOOOO the neighborscum evidently thought they had some.divine right to exist and would go on and.suck the lifeblood out of the Cubs to such an extent where two bad contracts = THE END OF.FINANCIAL FLEXIBILITY FOREVER.

Except for David Bote, of course, cuz #ThatsCub

Lol, ridiculous. Continue to blame Maddon when the players that were hand picked by Theo and Jed continue to underachieve or be completely useless. It's unreal how many Cubs fans blame Joe for everything. This has nothing to do with Joe. The 2017 offseason will be the reason why the championship window closed on this team. Over 200 millions spent on 3 pitchers who are non factors. The Morrow signing was awful from the get go. He was abused by LA and had a injury history, he should have never been considered. Chatwood and Darvish are both soft mentally.

We'll let you know if, by chance, you accidentally say something clever someday.

To answer your question, you don't want to know.....

Him dropping in during Mike Malone's presser was pretty funny.

The Iowa Cubs are in the process of closing out a game just like the big league Cubs. 4 9th innings walks. They finished it though 5-4. Webster had a nice set up inning. Maples was the walk machine. They put Mekkes in awkwardly after Maples struck a guy out with the bases loaded for the 2nd out of the inning.

I agree with some of that but the fact is Maddon and TheoJed are not on the same page so its not going to work. I dont think they are going to fire Theo or Jed, so....

I dont think Maddon is the best in the business and never did. I do think he's good though. Its just not a good marriage anymore.

Jesse Rogers still thinks that Maddon is tired from 40 games in 41 days.

My point is that managers don't really matter. When he was hired I can remember arguing with Darkside and telling him he would hate him soon enough. The Maddon of today is exactly the same manager who bought drinks at Cubby Bear oon the day when all Cub fans were so happy that Renteria got a raw deal.

As a side note, Almora is now batting .263 while Maddon's guy has a 1.000 OPS in Iowa.

Although Maddon is a huge twat, this start/season is on Ricketts/Theo/Jed. They're the ones who delivered this platter of shit to Maddon.

I dont think managers have a huge effect but based on the effect they do have, Maddon is one of the good ones.

Your side note is funny. Any difference in the competition Almora and Maddon's guy are facing?
