Oddly enough , I think they’ll be ok this series . Q usually owns these fucks, they’re due for a bit of regression cuz they ain’t that good, Cubs are due to play better .

My God, I love you is loony

Yu Darvish felt like he took a step in the right direction last night (true, relative to his opener, which was a disaster), though it was clear that Joe Maddon was a little nervous it was going to go sideways as early as the fifth:

The command still wasn’t quite there, but at least Darvish’s velocity was where you expect it, and he got plenty of swings and misses.

It's like they are talking about a young, developing pitcher.

After my brief sabbatical away from it, I'm going back to sober, rational baseball thinking. This is beyond the typical boundaries of the definition of 'aberration' and, as such, they can only improve. Everything will be fine.

Maddon said he wanted to make sure Darvish felt good about his outing.

I used to believe this was a good move in some instances but Maddon takes it to the extreme. It's ok for a pitcher to wear one once in a while. They might actually figure something out. Same goes for Schwarber and Almora against lefties and righties.

Problem is he already wore one in the opener . The lengths they’re going to to make sure a grown ass fucking man feels good about himself ( 4 IP, 3 ER’s is good ? ) is ridiculous . Theo HAS to know by now that this was a disastrous signing and he severely overestimated how good he thought this guy is .

Then put him on the IL if he is that useless.

It's not like this guy just showed up to the big leagues last year. The World Series abomination completely broke him mentally? Its not like he sucked before that. He was pretty damn good for quite a few years. He's gotta go. He needs to go back to the safe haven of the AL West. Eat what you have to eat and hope Seattle or the Angels want him. This is Randy Johnson on the Yankees bad right now.

The Big Unit won 17 games while starting 34 and 33 games with the Yankees with a 4.37era...which isn't great, but its certainly manageable in the AL East. He was also in his 40s and "only" making $13million a year.

Every Cubs fan out there would give their right eye if Darvish could win at a .642 clip over his next 60 some starts with the Cubs.

Innuendo would be calling him into the office and having him watch a documentary on legendary Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray.

Darvish will probably be fine if they every let him fucking pitch.

He had given up one run when he was yanked. Could have very well gotten out of that jam.

What has he done since he's been here that makes you think he'll be fine . He's been nothing but a mental midget on the mound who wilts at the first sign of trouble. That's pretty well documented.

Brewers come out and make a statement by sweeping the Cubs. Cubs too weak minded to overcome the pressure + Brewers confidence.

The Cubs had better win with Q on Friday as I'm going to be at the games Saturday/Sunday so they will probably lose those.
