how does the value of the team have anything to do with operational cash?

i have a $30,000 car... but i dont have $10 cash on me to pay for lunch... how does having a $30,000 car help me pay for lunch?

the profits thing is more "damning" but id have to guess the profit article does not account for investment in and around the ballpark that the ricketts are doing.

Your car is not your revenue source though. It's like saying you don't have the money to pay $10 for lunch while you make an amount that easily could pay for $10 every day for the duration of your working life.

team value is all theo(praise be)retical money until a sale is made unless maybe they use it to refinance.

It is a shame that Cub nation including WSCR was so starving for some success they bought the Rickett's con hook, line and sinker. Yes the WS will always be there but all expected more than just that. A lot of that was the impression money was no object.
