I would say no it is completely bad. I think in general you should care that a lot of men abuse their wives or partners. Addison Russell specifically not so much. I am neither a fan of the Cubs or him so I car less. The thing is professional athletes are actually human. They do human things (all of them) good and bad.

I am not a deep psychology thinker but there seems to be an element of envy or jealousy with how we treat athletes. We cannot have all that money and fame that they have so when they do something wrong we jump to strip all of that from them and make them "pay the price".

The only physical abuse was that he onle grabbed his son out of his ex wife's arms and once grabbed her by her shirt and pulled it hard enough that she was flung across the room. That is not okay by any means, but he never slapped, much less punched or kicked her. Never strangled her or threatened her with a weapon. The abuse was more psychological and emotional.
