4 games series.

Yu vs Jake game 1.

I see the Cubs splitting 2-2.

I love you afraid Yu will get booed tonight

LOL

---I’m excited to get to be in the park for this one, but also pretty unnerved by the very plausible risk of being there for Yu Darvish being booed by his own home fans, who then cheer the opposing pitcher the next inning. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jake Arrieta and always will. I’m just saying, it would be really nice – when you consider all the context, and how the atmospherics seem to affect Darvish – for him to pitch well, get tons of love from the fans, and beat Arrieta here at Wrigley.

Jake should be cheered to start the game, Darvish should be booed when he inevitably wets the bed.

Darvish, with his delicate sensibilities, will see all the love for Jake and feel excluded and unwanted by the fans will be balled up in a corner sucking his thumb nice and early. On the other hand, you've got Arrieta who is a nose to the grindstone competitor going up against the guy who was chosen over him, then you add in the cold weather - I don't see this going well for Yu.

I don't even think Darvish has won a game at Wrigley for the Cubs yet.

Jake deserves all the cheers for carrying the team in 2015 to the wild card game and then thanks to his 2 hit shutout over the Pirates, onto the NLDS, where they defeated the rival Cardinals. Winning the Cy Young that season, then with a stellar 2016, including winning 2 of the 4 World Series games and The ONLY game in the NLCS in 2017. He is not quite the same guy these days, but I expect he will be at his best tonight for this one, as he has a knack for coming up big in big games and he has been thinking about this one for over a year. I just hope Darvish can build on his last outing and continue to turn the corner towards the kind of performance level that the team expected of him when he was signed.

Absolutely. One of the best trades in Cubs history.

Side note, I really like Caratini.

Schwarber just gave the dugout the white power sign from 3B after his triple.

What is Heyward screaming about? He wasn't even close on that pitch.

That's the second time they had bases loaded and didn't score.

I only heard the play, didn't see it, figured he'd be out.

Don't run on Harper.

Don't run on Heyward.

One doesn't need to be a top mind of baseball to know that.

Russell's weaker arm, not enough to get the double play.

Rizzo is really slow. Should have scored on Heyward's single to RF from 2nd and should have scored on the Sac fly. Just really slow.

I don't much care for the last few minutes' action.
