Tonight isn't over, but this shit has to be frustrating as hell for Cubs fans. These close losses. Runners left on base.

Reminds me of 2005. When the Sox almost blew the thing from late August until late September.

This isn't as late in the season as it was in 2005. And that Sox team that almost blew it won 99 games. Cubs won't get close to that win total. But we almost pissed it away. The Indians went like 22-4 or something like that to close the gap late in the year.

If its not the pen its the vanishing offense. This is the same damn team from the last few years. No offense for 2 games and then an explosion. Get a god damn leadoff hitter.
