Where would you rank him when it comes to best players in baseball? I'm going top 60.

Probably a top 15 hitter, maybe 15 starters and 5 relievers are better. So 30-35. He'd easily be the best player on any 4th or 5th place club, as well as a few 2nd/3rd place clubs.

No t counting pitchers I'm assuming.

I'd put him in the 35-40 range.

You got him better than Acuna, Soto?

You got him better than Acuna, Soto?

I didn't make a list, but the guy did win an MVP. I figure 7-8 OF are better, 3-4 1B (Freeman for example), a couple of MI (Lindor), and Arenado.

I think he's even or slightly better than Machado, Judge, Stanton, Goldschmidt (starting to decline). Bergman is a toss up given that Bryant also plays 5 positions and doesn't have as good of lineup support.

Are there 20 more guys under 25 who will have better careers, like Soto? Absolutely, but that wasn't the original question.

I'd like to see the pitcher bat 8th against LHP and have Almora bat 9th.

Is someone going to give Bryant $30 million to take pitches and draw walks? No. You want him to be a slugger.

I'll go way out on a limb here and say he doesn't leadoff more than 60 games.

Is Nico the leadoff man by mid season?

Hes not a lead off hitter.
Best case scenario is hes a top 50 player overall. Top 20 infielder

He's a good ball player. Not great.

But his agent thinks he's 300 million over 10 years. You don't do that. He's not that good.

Maybe he's top 25. But when you do that deal he's gonna suck in the last half of it. I don't get why teams don't realize this. Look at Albert Puhols. And when they signed him he was the best player. But he's been shit for the last 4 or 5 years.

All the followers are jumping on the bash Kris Bryant bandwagon. He's a top 15 or better player. Keep him at 3B and one spot in the order and he'll have a big year. He'll thrive leading off. Heyward couldn't hit leading off because he can't hit in any spot in the order

Heyward would have had a decent season if not for the leadoff at bats. Joe really fucked him last year.

Funny how Joe had practically everyone try leadoff...except Bryant, who batted in each of the 2,3,4,5,7,9(!) spots.

FWIW...32nd on this list to start 2019. I don't think he did much to improve his standing. I'd still say he's between 30-40.

He's not a leadoff hitter, but the Cubs don't have a leadoff hitter right now. As of right now, it's hard to argue he's not the best option.
