If the Sox get the Blue Jays they will advance best of 3. If they get the Twins or Indians then I'm not sure.

Cubs can't beat either the Dodgers or Padres, even at a Texas park. Due to seeding, they may make the NLCS if someone upsets the Braves, but their ride ends in the NLCS..

The White Sox get no favors from the neutral sites dampening their hitting, and the NFLish setup where both the 7 and 8 seeds (probably Cleveland and Toronto) are much better than the 6 seed (Houston or Seattle). Their only reasonable way to the WS is to face Toronto then the Yankees then the As. Cleveland is Bieber in the first round, Minnesota knows them very well, Tampa is too versatile in a 7 game series, and they'll never get a chance to face Houston or Seattle.

With Giolito and Keuchel, I think the Sox can easily get through a three game series, but it's going to be a coin flip in the best of five. I don't want to see them play the Yankees. They seem to have the same strengths as the Sox.

That would be so 2020. Pritzker would probably shut down all of the bars for the two weeks during the World Series.

Sox getting eliminated before the ALCS would be a huge disappointment.
Cubs getting past the initial best of three and not getting swept in the NLDS could be seen as a mild success.
