It sure seemed to me at the time Joe Sheehan was telling everyone that the Cubs would be the team of the 10s that only one would be considered a disappointment.

Why would any Cub fan be expecting more than 1 WS appearance? We watched the disaster of Cubs baseball for all our lives and we were suddenly supposed to expect multiple WS appearances?

Nah that is not how it works.

Even after they won in 16 I was hopeful of maybe 1 more, but not expecting any more.
