Today the team announced its new marketing slogan, and it seems appropriate enough to me if we’re hoping to do the Wrigley Field thing again at some point next year: “The new marketing campaign, ‘Cub Together,’ is a celebration of what unites us even at a time when it is important we stay apart. The campaign is inspired by the many ways fans continue to express their love for Cubs baseball as we eagerly await the moment we can ‘Cub Together’ again in person at Wrigley Field.”

ha! i was just going to post something similar. Seems like when the cubs did not have a marketing dept. they did a pretty good job until they actually had one.


btw....i heard they are considering redoing the 'GO CUBS GO ' song. The 'WGN' lyric is what is the contention. I heard they may change it to 'MRN' or 'MQN' which I guess stands for Marquee Network. What a load of fucking bullshit if this rumor is true.

All slogans nowadays are just rearranging nouns, verbs, and adjectives so that they function as other parts of speech: "Cub" as verb in "Cub Together," or as adjective in "That's Cub." Everything's like "AT&T: Awesome Your Fantastic More." It all starts to feel very Engrish.

I liked when the trend was to add “X” to the front of everything (Xfinity for example). Still could work. The Cubs could use Schwarber and XCubs.
