good.

Fuck Marisnick.

Never shoulda been on the team.

Which by the way, this is a bad trend for Jed.

WHy sign a guy, only to trade him in the same season?

Just dumb. NOBODY has done this like Jed does.

First Pederson, then Chafin, now this. What a dumbshit GM.

You really don't understand business, do you?

Guys like Petersen and Marisnick signed with the Cubs because they'd get half a season to prove what they can do when other teams saw them as platoon bench players.

Neither performed enough, they just reinforced what the league thought of them. So Jed dealt them to teams who could use bench players for a playoff run.

Player and his agent likes the Cubs for the opportunity. Cubs get a couple of cheap lottery tickets and save some salary for the last third of the season.

Marisnick should have been able to beat out career journeyman minor leaguer Ortega for the CF job. He couldn't. So he's going to go to San Diego and be a defensive caddy again.

Marisnick, Pederson, Sogard, and the like brought a a lot hard nosed hustle, and energy to a drowning complacent team.

how is being a middle man for other teams good business? It's just a waste of time and resources bringing in dummies and then peddling them back out.

As far as Pederson, he to me was an everyday player, and pretty good fit. If he stayed, we would be better off.

You pick up a player you want, for one that you rented for half a year.

This isn't hard whistler.

Pederson wanted his shot at full time work.

I think he saw that he is really well suited to platooning. He can still make a good amount of money in that role.

Marisnick is 2-18 with one RBI since his Cub demise.

No wonder the padres are doin' terrible: The ex-Cub factor: They have 4 ex-Cubs. Ever since they acquired Marisnick to make it 3 ex-Cubs, they went south in a hurry.

Great trade. If only we kept our stars we woulda then caught the fuckin Padres.

Not really.

You just have to read it in vito-speak, I translated it for you. None of this Ortega or Alcantara or Hermosillo business for Vito.
