Kap said Hoyer will be on next week. Hopefully he has some balls and talks about real issues other than Score/Marquee like fluff topics.

That's nice. Ross pinch hits for Heyward, gets on, gets over, gets in, and wins. Meanwhile, Heyward was 0-2 and didn't get a third AB.

I give Ross credit for pinch hitting Villar and manufacturing the run, but then again, he shouldn't have Heyward in the lineup in the first place (unless he's being told).

Comical how Heyward starts over Ortega who has a 147 higher ops.

Heyward 0 for 12 in the 9th. Feels like we're being cheated out of classic comedy that Ross constantly pinch hits for him in the 9th. Then Villar (580 ops) is a better option. Can't make this stuff up.

In other words, you could fill every one of the 30 MLB teams with 13 hitters who have higher OPS and SLG before getting to Heyward.

JHK literally ripped the cover off the ball 68.4 exit velocity rocket.

Even his hits are fucking garbage. Nice work on the pop up that dropped in front of him. The play was in front of him, he was close and he jogged in to see it drop. #Leadership.

JHK and recently DFA'd (team eating $)

JHK- 245 .323 .378 .701 85
Lorenzo Cain- 273 .344 .383 .727 94
Robinson Cano- 269 .315 .450 765 108
Justin Upton- 232 .322 .443 .764 106

This most recent 10-game losing streak was the first time in Cubs history they've had three 10 or more losing streaks in a calendar year.

Zander & Hanley talking about Hoyer's press conference. Hoyer refused to give a rebuild timeline saying he'd know more at the season's end. Yeah sure he will.

Well that's the new Hendricks - every other inning gives up 3 runs.

The interview with M&H was garbage...no mention of Heyward (which Haugh later chalked up to time constraints) and no answers from Hoyer on why Wrigley has the most expensive "fan experience" in MLB yet the payroll is 14th. A caller after the interview was spot on when he said they should have asked Hoyer why the Cardinals don't need to "bottom out," and the Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, and even Rays don't need to bottom out. Instead, we are fed this bullshit about needing to go through years of pain before they will spend again. Haugh gave some lame defense of Hoyer (and Epstein), saying the "stars" stopped performing. Well yeah, we all saw that -- it was their job to know it sooner than we did and launch or trade their asses when they still had value. Telling fans we need to go through these feast and famine cycles is just ridiculous.

Hell the Brewers really only had 1 bad year before they began to turn it around.

Hoyer is Theo Jr with side-stepping and vagueness. I like how Haugh said we didn't think Heyward was important enough to squeeze in. Yeah the followup calls were good. Elmhurst Steve then the next guy. Kap is next. He's not on their payroll anymore. M & H were pussies.

Time constraints huh? Yeah dude was on for over 20 minutes. There was time to ask why Heyward hasn't been traded for a bag of baseballs.

i also heard the interview - when the time is right, the money will be there. so, what is the criteria that makes the time, right?
