If only the Twins had taken him instead. We might not have gotten as far as we did in 2003, but Mauer sure would look nice behind the plate for the Cubs (of course he's had his share of injuries too).

The guy had a lot of talent, but I don't know if he'll ever be an effective Major Leaguer again.

Maybe he should go back to USC and take some classes in public speaking.
