I really hope he falls on his face big time. Maybe he goes to the Reds, and Dusty blows out his arm again.

Has he shrunk at all in the last couple years? I don't follow Cub baseball enough to know.

Good riddance, ass bag.

Don't forget your towels, your collection of Simulated Cy Young Awards, and your skirt.

Oh well. At least the Cubs finally admitted defeat with Prior, which sucks because when he was healthy he had really good stuff.

I've wondered the same thing, bowever, as he hasn't been seen in the last couple of years, it's hard to tell.

Too bad for the Cubs not for him. It was a good business move but as a fan it makes me not like him even more. The Cubs were loyal to him but he never showed any loyalty to the organization. On the other hand the Cubs were loyal to Wood and he left money on the table his last 3 contracts to show that he was loyal to the team. Wood=Good guy and Prior=pussy.

+1

If only the Twins had taken him instead. We might not have gotten as far as we did in 2003, but Mauer sure would look nice behind the plate for the Cubs (of course he's had his share of injuries too).

The guy had a lot of talent, but I don't know if he'll ever be an effective Major Leaguer again.

Maybe he should go back to USC and take some classes in public speaking.

Slick's not about to pass up a chance for a cheap shot. That and another chance to diddle about with Photoshop. I'm suprised Cozstanza hasn't made an appearance.

How can he fall on his face when he is never on the mound? Someone will give him a deal and he might see the mound in 2009.

Nouveau rich arrogance combined with outright hypocrisy is what's laughable. Right on cue.

Which made less of more? Wie or Prior?

Correctamundo. Because back in 03 and 04 (and probably even 05), I'm sure you were among the many many cub fans putting all your eggs into the prior and/or Wood basket. And you got nothing. So it goes for Cub fans.

You presume a great deal about me and my opinions. You may or may not be correct. There a saying about assumptions. In this case, it applies solely to you.
I base my statement about your hypocrisy and arrogance on what you have written on this board. You reach and exceed those expectations time and time again. For that amount of overachievement, you should be commended. High theater indeed.

I forgot to ask this question. How is it hypocrisy on my part by putting such faith in Wood and/or Prior during 2003-05? Your attempt to take part of my quote out of context failed to make your point. Ouch.

Good riddance, even if he go back to 2003 form, the guy is a douchebag. Never thought the guy wanted to be here, he got 10 mill to sign and now after getting 3 years of free money, he doesnt want to give in on his contract demands, screw him.

Hope he goes to cincy so the cubs can beat his ass once he comes back after the all star break.

The end of Mark Prior's effectiveness can be found below:

I know, its a great little tool. Maybe someone can photoshop the Cubs logo onto a World Series Championship banner.

I'll take your word for it. I've not seen the show before (believe it or not), so I have no point of reference, but I'll try not taking FC literally.
Hard to do at times.
