Went to the game on Saturday with Mom, Darkside, and DW. When I took the Red Line north to the park I was amazed by how many Cardinal fans were on the train. Had to help several of them negotiate the intimidating public transit system that is the CTA. Once we got to our seats was again disturbed by the amount of red bird fans. They were loud and in big groups...at several points felt like the minority. Took the train back south and was the only Cub fan in my car. Cards fans were hooting and hollering the whole time.

Moral of the story: CUBS FANS! Take action! Do not let these dirty red bird fans take over our house!

That is all.

This is not new - it's been that way for years both here and in Busch w/ Cubs fans.

I'm a Cubs fan...and a Stub-Hub man...sorry. I'm poor and need help buying the tickets every year, so I sell some to the best games to help reimburse myself. Therefore 2 of those cardinal fans may have been using my tickets. It's not unusual, though...

I dunno man...there have always been fans from the opposing team before, but this seemed out of control. There were two Cards fans for every Cubs fan in our section, including one particularly loud one that really pissed off Darkside.

I don't like it.

Go back to your Busch, Cards fans. :drunken:

I agree with you...but as tickets get more and more expensive, they'll continue to go to the highest bidder...baseball continues to price the low-low/mid class out of the ballpark, but I'll continue to try to make out...

no, no I'm with Ryno on this one...people get way too drunk at Wrigley, which prompts fights from Cubs fans telling them to shut up...which then means you're not invited back even if you're a season ticket holder and it was the other fan's fault...it's happened to guys around my section (528)

Its been like that for forever .
When I was a Vendor we hated Cards games .Place was packed but them downstate hicks didn't spend .Now Mets fans spend like crazy .
The best fans for tipping and spending for me was San Francisco

have to agree with you...Cubs/Mets is the 2nd biggest seller, right behind Cubs/Sox...next is St. Louis, then SF, then Florida and Philly....

I'm confused by all the Red Sox fans. Isn't that a bit of a long haul for some baseball games? Was there a convention of them at McCormick that I was unaware of?

Yeah, try being a Hawks fan when the Red Wings are in town.

We did our good deed yesterday. We sent several cardinals fans in the direction of a closed red line station.

Don't forget the last time we were at Miller, Ryno's.

Was this your first Cubs/Cards game, RW, or did you finally stop daydreaming about Don Zimmer. :P

I've been to a lot of Cubs games. There are always visiting team fans. I've just never been "in the minority" at Wrigley before...

Of course you're not a minority, you're white!
