This should be the series the Cubs clinch not only the N.L. Central, but home field advantage, all the way up to the World Series. The Cardinals are out of it, but you know they do not want to watch the Cubs celebrate winning another division championship. So I expect this to be a good series. In game 1 it will be Adam Wainwright (9-3 3.20 ERA) who has not beaten the Cubs EVER in his career, facing Carlos (No HIt) Zambrano. Z is 14-5 with a 3.41 ERA. This should be a great match-up, similar to the Sabbathia/Dempster game. Hopefully the outcome is similar too. In game 2, it will be Joel Pineiro (6-6 5.24 ERA), facing Ted Lilly (15-9 4.13 ERA) Lilly is coming off the 1 hit, 7 inning effort he followed Z's No-Hitter, with. In Sunday's game, it will be Braden Looper (12-13 4.06 ERA) taking the hill, against Ryan Dempster (16-6 3.02 ERA). If things go as I think they will, Dempster will only go 5-6 innings, with guys like Pie, Fontenot,Hoffpauir, Cedeno and Koyie Hill playing behind him, as they will have already clinched the division and home field advantage. Doing it against Tony LaRussa and the Cardinals, will make clinching that much sweeter. :D :D :D

Goodness from a no-hitter to 8 runs in not even 2 innings

Maybe I need to go find a yard to mow.

I hear "Mt. Zambrano" erupted before he left the mound, less than a week after hurling his first no-hitter, and hours before WGN's CW 9 & WGN America (formerly WGN Superstation) airs the rebroadcast of Sunday night's game vs. Houston...

His grandmother passed away last night (she really did). That's the excuse I'm going with.

That's exactly what happened - and he wanted to leave and go with his family, and the made him pitch. Why he didn't just up and go on bereavement, IDK?

It is not at all my style to falsely alarm people, but everyone here needs to wake up! There is definitely something very wrong with Zambrano! It was all very exciting and well and good to see him throw that no-hitter last week, but at what cost??!! The long layoff, the large pitch count, the 98 MPH fastballs, all of it was too much, too soon, and now the Reaper has come to extract payment from the Chicago Cubs! They put personal glory of team success, and now trouble roams free as everyone prematurely celebrates! this team has won nothing yet! Making the playoffs is not an accomplishment! Winning a division by 10 games or by 1 game or being a wild card makes no difference! This team should not be celebrating, and you fans should all know better! All of the signs are in place for a disaster of epic proportions! Have you no memories of disasters from years past??!! Sure, winning a division is exciting, but are you not tired of celebrating minor achievements??!! Demand more! Don't feed into the circus by hailing "Magic Numbers" and other false indicators of success! Championships are all that matter!

Zambrano = Done! Hope you enjoyed the no-no! Harden = Done! He is Mr. 5 Innings 100 Pitches! Bullpen = Done! Marmol is all that is going well back there!

WAKE UP PEOPLE! GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF THE SAND! THIS TEAM IS SETTING ITSELF UP FOR A QUICK 1 SERIES AND OUT PLAYOFF RUN!

PANIC! PANIC! PANIC! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!

PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we will get a 2000 White Sox style Celbration. Cubs lose today but Brewers also lose which leads to the Cubs mobbig DLee at first after hitting into a game ending double play today??

Theriot has to STOP throwing the ball from his knees, prone,or on his ass. He did it about a month ago and he's still doing it!!!! Terry Bradshaw was from Lousiana also! They'll win today this team has a flare for the dramatic!

Don't know why Lilly was pitching around Albert. If he hit it out, your still up 3.

Damn the Brewers are struggling. The pitcher Owings gets a pinch-hit single off C.C to score 2.
