I'll be on a rooftop today.

I'm guessing i'll be jumping around the 6th inning.

Hill needs to be batting 5th. I mean for the love Quade.....the guy has hit for the cycle over the entirety of the season.

Just wanting to see which direction each team is trending heading into the series.

Perfect day for that! Couldn't ask for better weather.

Giants just came off a sweep of an entire homestand so they are coming in white heat red hot. Guess I will start Bumgarner today against that murderers row...

Two separate things, but yes.

I want to see Team Records (places in standings also doesn't hurt) and I want to see each team's record in the Last 10 games.

These threads are nice...if the OP has a bit more information in them. I do not want to have to go to Carrie Muskat to get this info.

I think I benched him this week because I dont like having to root for pitchers against the Cubs. Occasionally it happens but I try to avoid it as much as possible. That being said he probably has a perfect game and strikes out 20.

Interesting stat about that. First team ever to sweep a home-stand of 6 games or more without scoring more than 4 runs in a single game. So ya, their pitching is decent.

Rain don't matter to me. It's all on the company's dime and we get all you can eat/drink if it's rain or shine. The place has an indoor section too.

Ugh... have to win today and hope the Davis experiment is better than the Russell experiment.

Bumgarner has been flossing his last few starts, so today's going to be a tough order. Tomorrow is Doug Davis....? Yikes.

That Zambrano / Lincecum game should be good cuz I don't think San Fran really has any imposing hitters... Although, as a fan of entropy, I actually see the Cubs beating Lincecum, but dropping the first two, how's that?

Have you checked out buster posey this year?

Buster Posey (2011): 34g 119ab 12r 29h 2h2b 0h3b 4hr 19rbi 14bb 23k 3sb 0cs .244avg .336obp .361slg .697ops

Coming out of the minors, the book was that the kid could hit but didn't have otherworldly power. After a relatively slow start, he burst on the scene with like ~.300/18/67 or something, and this year THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!!!!!!

All of a sudden, sure, he might have his 18HR again, but I'd bet that he's struggling to be "the guy" in that SF offense as opposed to last year when he came up and was a good hitter who happened to have power, as opposed to a power hitter. The same thing is happening with Carlos Gonzalez this year, ask Bob Brenly.

Mota!!! Will someone please charge the mound just so I can see him run away into right field and then into the dugout to avoid the ass whipping coming his way.

Talking strictly batting average. The first 4 Cub batters in the 8th are batting:

Fuk .356
Castro .331
Barney .326
Bird .311
