The new owner should show the fans he's willing to do what it takes to win and sign Manny and Orlando Cabera. Play Manny in right and Bradly in center, use Johnson and Fukudome as late inning replacements for Manny and Soriano. With O.C. you move Theriot to his more natural position of 2nd base. Right now I look at 2nd as a weakness with Fontenot and Miles, both are reserve players, and even Theriot is a reserve really.

Bradley, Ramirez and Soriano as an outfield tandem??? That might just be the potentially WORST defensive outfield EVER!!! They would knock in a bunch of runs, but the pitchers would see their ERA's jump by a run at least. I imagine they would have to throw a lot more pitches, with all the extra batters they would have to face as well. It would be a great outfield for 16 inch softball though.....But I like the Cabrera idea. Moving Theriot to 2nd and having a superior fielder at SS, all makes sense. Plus, with the amount of time that has already passed, O.C. might come at a bargain price. Even if it was just for 1 year, I like this idea.

They were said to be worth 2.4 Billion, just over a year ago and now their estimated worth is down to 1.4 Billion. Not going to be holding any tag days for them, but they may find that owning the Cubs to be, a greater financial strain than they anticipated, when they bid on them and had a Billion more.
