Just taking a quick look at the standings & schedule....The Cardinals are 4 & 2 against Pittsburg with 3 more coming in May....while the Brewers are 5 & 0 against them, and the Cubs will play them for the first time on the 25th of this month.

Considering all the injuries, inconsistent hitting & bullpen....to be sitting only 2.5 games back and not having cleaned up on the Pirates yet could be a good thing.

Cubs need to stay close until Aramis & Z come back.

The Padres should be an easy mark too unless Lou decides to sit everyone against Peavy tomorrow.
