We are coming up on 2 months since Ramirez got hurt, and we are still waiting for Hendry to find a proper replacement for him. This is one of many reasons Hendry should be fired soon, or at the end of the season at the latest. He also has had since April to find some bullpen help, but instead we get call up like Hart, Jose A, and Waddel. He has left Lou without a lefty in the bullpen for 2 years now, so Lou has been forced to use a starting pitcher as his lefty option out of the 'pen. Hendry has tied Lou's hands this season, but the ownership situation has also become ridiculous. If we had someone running baseball that had a sack, this thing would of been done, but instead we are in its 2nd year of a potential sale.

He's already spent all the money he was allotted. Very poorly in most (recent) cases. Combine that with no ownership in place...and he is pretty handcuffed except for Ryan Freel type moves. This sale...or lack of it...is really putting the Cubs & Hendry in a tough spot. Even without it....Hendry is looking REALLY bad with his off season moves.

This team needs some grindiness. Jim Edmonds is still avialble. He can be our Scotty Pods.

Derosa could have been had for a bag of balls. The Cards got Dero for a reliever & a player to be named later.
It's time for both Lou & Hendry to go. The Cubs are in the same situation now that they were when Dusty left....the Manager has lost control of the team. Lou used to be a good leader & a guy who wouldn't out up with any bullshit, but not anymore. This team needs discipline, and the guy who can bring discipline & structure to this team is Ryne Sandberg, He is no longer the quiet passive person he was in his playing days. I hope the Cubs send Lou packing at the All Star break.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I said this team needs more grindiness, not more meatballery.

Thats a copout Douche...if you want to debate my post, the please do. Calling it a meatball post is a copout. If you have a point, make it please.

I think the point is that you're a meatball.

Losing Ramirez hurts, but this offense shouldn't be this bad without him. Even with a questionable bullpen, if they had any offensive support, they would be at least 5 games above .500 right now.

Instead of being given large payroll increases, Hendry is now being forced to operate within a budget. I don't blame ownership for this. Hendry may need to use some creativity in order to improve the team.
