We are coming up on 2 months since Ramirez got hurt, and we are still waiting for Hendry to find a proper replacement for him. This is one of many reasons Hendry should be fired soon, or at the end of the season at the latest. He also has had since April to find some bullpen help, but instead we get call up like Hart, Jose A, and Waddel. He has left Lou without a lefty in the bullpen for 2 years now, so Lou has been forced to use a starting pitcher as his lefty option out of the 'pen. Hendry has tied Lou's hands this season, but the ownership situation has also become ridiculous. If we had someone running baseball that had a sack, this thing would of been done, but instead we are in its 2nd year of a potential sale.
Losing Ramirez hurts, but this offense shouldn't be this bad without him. Even with a questionable bullpen, if they had any offensive support, they would be at least 5 games above .500 right now.
Instead of being given large payroll increases, Hendry is now being forced to operate within a budget. I don't blame ownership for this. Hendry may need to use some creativity in order to improve the team.
