As piss poor as the Cubs have been playing, they are only 2 games out in the loss column. That is shocking to me.

I believe that this may be the worst division in all of baseball. If the Cubs stayed pat last year, they would probably be 9 or 10 games up by now. But Hendry traded away more than Derosa and Wood. He traded away chemistry, cohesion and leadership and replaced it with buffoonery, bi-polar and just bad.

I hate to say it, but I think when Aramis comes back that they may be able to put a 6 or 7 game streak together that puts them as the tallest midget in this division.

They will then promptly get their asses handed to them in the playoffs, but all of us lemming Cubs fans will rejoice because we made a miraculous comeback and God the boys tried so hard and what an effort, blah blah blah. We have to simply demand more and I think that trend in Cubs fans is gaining momentum. We just need to demand a winner and show our disdain for bad teams by staying away - that probably will never happen though.

I think the Cubs may need to make 1 or 2 bullpen acquisitions before the trade deadline and we could actually have a bit of a run at this.
