It is the ultimate conduit for fools and cons. Some people are really going to believe this will happen.

We might argue around here, but the idiot factor is exponentially lower. Not invisible, but much lower. 8)

I used to follow that message board until I found this one. It's by far one of the worst message boards I have ever been a part of. There are so many immature idiots and deutche banks it's surreal. Unfortunately, there are a handful of great posters there but sifting through the shit just isn't worth it.

You want to be scared of the Internet? Ill scare you. Check this shit out...

http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1355256

While computing professionals are admonished to do no harm, the technical-rational paradigm that is the foundation of organizational problem solving frames the context of practice and separates computing professionals from the ultimate action created by the information systems that they design. This paper discusses how the technical rational paradigm supports the creation of systems that embody administrative evil. Unlike the typical notions of harm created by malevolent and unethical individuals, the processes and structures that create administrative evil rely on good people acting within their professional roles to design the systems [1]. This is a research-in-progress to determine if information systems can harm or be evil, the frequency of harm, and response to harm by designers and users

Global warming? Disease? No. Fucking robots. I know, the whole I Am Robot, Terminator, and whatever other story like that is bullshit, right? Artificial Intelligence is making huge leaps and bounds. We need to worry about this. Big time. Scary stuff. One of the biggest standards organizations (ACM) is scared as shit about this. So should you.
