Matchups:

Fri: Harden vs Volstad - I like our chances here. Harden has pitched well of late and this is a road night game so he should be all good to go..

Sat: Zambrano vs. Badenhop - this one worries me because it's a pitcher I don't believe the Cubs have seen before...

Sun: Dempster vs. Nolasco - If Dempster pitches like the Dempster before the DL, I give the Cubs the edge in this one, but might be a tossup.

I'll say 2 out of 3 for argument's sake, but wouldn't be surprised if it's 1 out of 3...

Im thinking their Florida troubles persist and the Cubs lose 2 of 3.

Cubs sweep. The offense is clicking and they are feeding on mediocre teams right now. Hey speaking of that - guess which team has more games remaining against the Pirates than any other team does?

The Cubs always suck when they go down to Miami.

They will drop two of three.

Didn't they take 2 of 3 last year?

This blows.

However, Bradley coaxed a walk after being down 0-2 to lead off the 9th. Not giving up yet.....

Florida is becoming to the Cubs, what Minnesota is to the White Sox. Just a nightmare.

Bradley grabs a walk after being down 0-2 to start the 9th. So what does Fox do immediately after that?

Swings at the first pitch and pops it up, of course.....

Ah, that was just me throwing out the "Bat Signal" for our favorite super-hero/poster.

He didn't answer it though...... :(

The Cubs have really had a bad record over the last few years in this ballpark. Hope for better tomorrow.

I think I hate the Marlins and their ballpark more than any other not named Cardinals.

Only saw highlights, but Marmol really wet himself in the 8th. How do you walk 2 guys, with 2 outs, and hit a batter? This guy is a fucking mental midget.

Zambrano gives the Cubs their best chance for victory in this series today. He will face Badenhop, who has just 1 other start this year, but it was against the Phillies and he gave up just one run over 5 innings. His ERA is good too, at just around 3 1/2, so he might not be the pushover many spot starters are. Zambrano has been on a nice streak though and should give the Cubs a good chance. Plus Badenhop is unlikely to go deep into the game, so maybe the Cubs can get into the middle relief of this Marlins squad.

This team has to figure out a way to win on the road (21-28) to be able to keep pace with the Cardinals. This 10 game roadie could get ugly.
