No shit...and get his stupid-babbling ass off the radio too. He is icon for the loveable losers....as a Cubs fan, I'd prefer to DUMP that image someday.

Santo doesn't have a leg to stand on with his chances of ever making the Hall of Fame.

The hall of fame is a tough place for a guy to get their foot in the door.

Well, at least his diabetes is getting better because he's getting older.

There should have been a Snickers Not going anywhere for a while ad with Santo standing outside the Hall of Fame

It is sad he isn't in it. If he was not pushing so hard I think he would have been in a long time ago. Now he won't get in till he passes on which is even sadder.

Is it possible that he just isn't Hall worthy?

It sure looks like it, Apologist. Even though Hall-of-Famer Brooks Robinson has said for years that Ron Santo should be in, the baseball writers and MLB's Veterans Committee beg to differ. He can appear on WGN or Comcast SportsNet's "Rain Delay Theater" when there's a delay in a Cub game next season holding up a sign saying "Will Work For Hall of Fame Consideration", and it still won't matter. He surely doesn't get in as a broadcaster...

If Ron Santo is on any other team than the 69 Cubs, I think he gets in. But the bottom line is that how can there be more 69 Cubs in the hall than the Big Red Machine. Santo is killed by the fact that there are already three guys in the hall from that team that never won anything.

As a Sox fan, I'd like to quote Hawk: "That's total B.S.!!!"

From what I recall, Santo had better stats than Brooks Robinson. Nuff said. I'll check on that later.

As a fielder,Robinson had more range ,both had good arms. As a hitter,no comparison,Santo was better.

Why too easy? I'm sure Santo's legs are still good...wherever they are...
