This will turn out to be a huge mistake. Harden was moving past his injury plagued time and was relatively solid with the Cubs. Now they're short another starter.
Just a question but when was the last time that you were even mildly ok with a Cubs move?
Well, damn, I just got on board here a month ago.
Well, obviously I liked the Harden pickup in the first place. I liked the Bradley signing, although I thought he was overpaid. Dempster was a good signing, as was Lilly. Hendry also got Lee and Ramirez. I'm not sure if Hendry was involved with Soto but I guess he probably was right? But there haven't been too many good moves over the last couple years, along with some extremely questionable signings.
Let me ask you the same question, what was Hendry's last good signing?
Yeah I thought the Grabow move was a decent one and I have to be honest but I am perfectly fine with them letting Harden walk because of what has already been discussed in this thread with his penchant for nibbling around the strike zone and throwing 90 pitches through 5 innings. Do I think Hendry is doing a good job....No I do not. But it just seemed to me that your reactions so far on this board have been overwhelmingly negative to anything the Cubs attempt. Maybe its a coincidence that you just happened to disagree with everything that has come up since you have been here but instead you are just coming across as a red ass.
