The Cubs brass just like the Bears brass (see Cutler as QB) keep throwing the same under performing crap out there every year. WHY? Hendry signed them to big money & the perception is they are good players. Let the Cubs manager stop just mailing it in. It took "The Genius" 2 years to figure out what I knew when the Cubs signed him. Soriano is a number 6 hitter PERIOD! Jeff WR Szmardia (yes,I hacked his name...who gives a shit?) signed for 10 million for WHAT? When the Cubs threw money at Kosuke, I said I don't trust anybody that never faced ML pitching. Hey,I or (10million Cub fans like me) can see this but the guy getting paid can't. Yes,the Cubs are getting thumped in Game 1 of 162 & I am pissed!
