ALERT, 4 game series, one is on the Fuzz.

Game 1:
Monday 6:10pm CSN+, CLTV
Wells (1-0 2.92 ERA) vs. Jonathan Niese (0-1 6.65) (L)

Game 2:
Tuesday 6:10pm WGN
Zambrano (1-1 9.45 ERA) vs Mike Pelfrey (0-1 3.75)

Game 3:
Wednesday 6:10pm CSN
Silva (1-0 0.69 ERA) vs. Oliver Perez (0-1 3.37 ERA) (L)

Game 4:
Thursday 6:10pm WCIU
Gorzelanny (0-1 1.93 ERA) vs. Johan Santana (1-1 3.00)

Whos Hot?:
Anyone playing the Cubs

Who's not?:
The Cubs.

I like game 1 and game 3 matchups, but I think the Cubs on the road playing the Mets (santana was good last time out) means the Cubs go 1-3 on this 4 game series.

I hate the Padres because of 84. I'm sure there's a generation of fans that hate the goddamn Marlins.

I don't remember '69, but my older brother and dad instilled the Met hate in me early on. The Diddlers and the Fish hate is a given.

They were awesome. One of my favorite teams ever. You forgot The Dr, McDowell, Orosco, Kevin Mitchell, and many more. I highly recommend "The Bad Guys Won" about the 86 mets. Good book.

Darling is "a homo"?

I am against burning books as a matter of principle. But for that one, however, I would bring the fucking matches.

I hear ya Reason. I certainly understand ur hate. The book isnt really a tribute, more a chronicle. You might enjoy the story about Kevin Mitchell knocking out Strawberry in a basketball game or how the flught after they won the NLCS led to the only time in history an airline has turned down the business of a pro sports team.

Or not.
Either way Bacheleor Party is on right now, what a film!

Lou's new line up against lefties. Stunningly dumb.

Byrd
Baker
Lee
Nady
Ramirez
Soriano
Soto
Theriot

So you move Riot to 8th? He's a career .300 hitter against lefties with a .382obp for Byrd who a career .278 and .338. Couple this with Ramirez hitting below Nady. The only thing this needs is Fukudome batting clean up...

I can't believe it has come to this but if thats his lefty lineup put soriano back up there and at least give Byrd some rbi opportunities. I don't hate watching him bat when balls break towards him rather than away from him. That is one meaty lead off guy in byrd.

If you want to move Theriot, fine. I'm not going to complain about that. But when your reasoning is his struggles against lefties in 11!!!!!!!!! AB's this year as supposed to looking at his career numbers...well that's just fucking stupid.

Cubs need to split this series at worse. They should have won the Astro series, and with the Nationals and D-Backs coming up at home, those are games that should be won also.

I watched a couple of those Mets / Cards games over the weekend. Jerry Manuel is terrible at managing. I don't know how they assemble such a suck roster with all that money spent. Reyes looks like he still should be on the DL and Bay is swinging at everything. Their starting pitching after Johan is a joke... and Johan doesn't even look the same..

Keith played very well with the Cubs,RF/C/some 3rd I think. Sort of a Jake Fox type.
