I am sure it is a great boost to the guy that no matter how well he pitches he still is going to the pen!

Does his impending trip to the pen mean that grabow can be designated for assignment? As far as I know, if he clears waivers then he must report to Iowa or the cubs are off the hook for the rest of his salary.

If only it were that easy. The Cubs are on the hook for what 7 Million over the next two years for this clown.

Put Hendry and Grabow in a convertible and have them reenact the last scene in that movie where those two broads drove off the cliff.

I still think this would work. If he refuses assignment they don't have to pay him and if he is claimed someone else will pay him. If he reports to Iowa then he still gets his money. This is what happened to that DH in oakland earlier this year, Jack Cust. He was owed alot of money but was designated. No one claimed him and he went to AAA so he could still get the balance of his contract.
