They're polishing the Cy for him as we speak.

$18M thru 2013. Well played, Hendry.

Z is one I'll give Hendry a somewhat bye on. The contract didn't look that ridiculous when he first got it as it does now. He's made a lot more egregious errors as our GM than Z's contract

He was a better pitcher but the red flags were there.

I was waiting for one more out or error to go there, but what the hell, why not already.

Potentially some hilariously bad base-running there by Soriano. Center-fielder who is more familiar with Wrigley makes that play and he's out at 1st by 150 feet

What an awful game. This team has already quit on Lou and it's only the middle of June.

Yep. D-Lee said that they performed like a single-A club last night, and that speaks volumes about the effort that they gave

Because it's such an easy and unprovable thing to do to blame 'giving up on Lou' as an answer. I mean, Lee, who is a gold glove winner, made two errors in one inning for the first time in his career. Performing like a Single A club has nothing to do with effort given. They played like shit last night. End of story. You don't need to expand on that to guys not caring or giving up on Lou

They managed to score 5 runs last night which is an offensive explosion for these guys and their record is overwhelmingly positive this year when they've scored 4 runs of more.

I'll be in the LF bleachers watching this single A club fail to give any effort, if anybody else is gonna be there.

Yes, we should meet up. I think you'd like me a great deal.

I already do, Reason.

We should both come with plenty of rap lyrics prepared so we can exchange them upon meeting.

They've played bad longer than just last night (4-8 this month) and I don't see that turning around anytime soon. They are sluggish and uninterested. I'm not sure if Ricketts is going to bite the bullet in year 1 but this team is done.

 You never cease to amaze me Keyser.

As of today, June 15th:

White Sox 29-34 in 3rd Place 7.5 games back

Cubs 28-36 in 3rd Place 7.5 games back

The Cubs are sluggish and uninterested and playing bad (and no doubt they are!). Yet in just about every Sox thread you talk as if they are still in this thing and ready to turn the corner.

Reality: Both teams suck. Both teams are done this year. The sooner you come to that conclusion the better the rest of your year will go.

Keyser has rose colored glasses on without a doubt, but the Sox have been playing much better over the past week or so while the Cubs have been continuing to fall further off the pace.

Very unlikely that either team makes the playoffs, but the Sox have won 6 of 8. If anybody is trying to make some sort of run to get back to .500, the Sox would be that team.

I think its pretty clear that Lou really doesn't seem to care as much as he used do and his players have taken on that attitude. ANyway, I don't think Keyser's or Hack's first comment was eyeroll worthy.

Don't confuse not caring with bad management. I believe Lou cares very much. Unfortunately, every game he does something with our lineup or an in game situation that is detrimental to this team. I wouldn't doubt that the players notice this and it wears on them a bit.

Be an apologist all you want there, Danny - I've been frustrated for quite some time in Lou's inability or willingness to stop catering to some of these overpaid veterans and hold these guys accountable when they give a lackluster effort. He's finally starting to play the guys who give two shits, but it's too little, too late. I hope the team turns it around, I'm a fan of the club, but I'm sorry if I can't give Piniella a pass...

There you go. So its worn on the players and they don't care anymore. You really think that Aramis Ramirez cares that his batting avg is under .200?
