i do. but you cant because its baseball that sucks. ooo i said it. love the game, hate the mlb. why? 180,000 games. im sorry but too many players and teams are too similar anymore and all it does is drag out whats already a tedious game. dont molest the game itself, its grand. shorten the season to 75 night games, sell out every team every night and have a whole nation watch another sport as much as they do football. have players that focus all season long. weekends can still be played at noon so you wont loose the history of day games... im right and i have relish on my shoes.

I still love baseball & I am still waiting for my Cubs to wake up. I confess though, the only baseball I watch is the Cubs. It's not like the NFL or NBA. I can watch 2 non-Chicago teams play and still be interested.

I love baseball, I think there is nothing better than a afternoon day with the sun on your face at a ballpark.I think all Sunday and Saturday games should be afternoon games, have the fireworks shows on Friday nights. You want the kids back, start showing more games that they can watch and or go to.Hell even the Single A club here plays mostly night games now, total b.s.

anybody who didn't see this train wreck coming deserves whatever "heart ache" they're experiencing. this team is so poorly built and worthless, and the season is over for them. their pitching has come crashing down to earth and the hitting is nowhere to be seen unless a home run is hit.

i still watch, but with absolutely no emotion at all. in fact i laugh at them losing at this point.

I complained enough this past winter, when Hendry failed once again to get a real leadoff hitter and put together a terrible bullpen. I guess one could complain about Lee and Ramirez...they have performed below expectations. But if you didn't expect the team to contend anyway, whats the difference?? I'll give Hendry credit for the Byrd signing. He has turned out to be a more than solid addition. Also have to give him credit for getting Silva in return foe Bradley. that looks like a steal right now. You could say he got lucky on that one, but reguardless, the deal was a good one. Past those 2 moves, he has failed miserably. To have expected much of this group would have been silly.

This team remains absolutely pathetic. Fire Lou and put Brenly in charge. It won't happen of course, but why the fuck not? They have no life whatsoever. Let the fire sale begin. We'll see if they have any pride at all this weekend against the Sox.

I most definitely want to see that happen, and I don't care if I sound like a meatball fan saying that. I want guys to be held accountable on the field. I think Brenly has a handle on today's game, he's not too far removed from it even though he's been in the booth for a few years.

Going into the season, I thought the team's question marks were Soto, Soriano, Marmol (handling the closer role), and Aram's health. The first three did OK, Aram is still hurt, but Lee and Ram's hitting issues were way down the list of concerns. Just another example of how this team kicks you in the ass.

Excellent post.

My expectations for this season are exactly what I have been seeing on the field. I don't think anything would be different either if someone else was managing the team. They should have retooled after 2008, but instead they just doubled down on bad.

Terrible with no signs of recovery.
1 fuckin run in two games? Off a Colvin HR no less? Jesus.
I can't watch this any more. It's not fun, it's like getting kicked square in the nuts every day.
I might need to take a hiatus for the remainder of the season.

I watched at least 120 games in 2008. I have watched zero this year.
I don't even bother to look at the box scores to see how they have done
either. If I wasn't playing so much golf this summer, this team would be
totally ruining my summer.
