Is it just me or is anyone else a little afraid to really believe in these kids because of the Cubs history with young players?

I think both are going to be good but with how many times our hearts have been broken?

And okay in 3 years who's going to be the better player?

The history of Felix Pie, Corey Paterson, Dwight Smith, Rich Hill, Jerome Walton or whoever else has no barring on whether Castro or Colvin will have successful careers.


Castro will be significantly better.

Its not like there is some damn virus inside the Wrigley home clubhouse that inflicts all who enter it and destroys their talent. Most teams have a list of say anywhere between 10-20 prospects. 3 of them might end up panning out and becoming legit major league talent. The cubs farm system used to be such a wasteland of shit that they would have an entire 3-5 prospects at any given time and all were expected to succeed.
