I know it probably wouldn't have made any difference; but what could have happened this year if Lou had been fired, when he should have been, back in early June?

Lee was still part of the problem IMO as well so i think its a packaged deal. I think they would have been able to put out an effort against the astros and pirates and I guess even the brewers. That alone would be 10 more wins. That would put them at .500 which is about where they should be.

Reason, you could put a nice dress on a steaming pile of shit, but it still doesn't hide the fact that it's still a steaming pile of shit.

It doesn't mean that it still wasn't the right thing to do. I think it could have been very interesting. I know the sample size is small, but I like what I have seen from Quade.

The record is great, but it is with no pressure whatsoever as the season is over. So besides the good record, what has Quade specifically done that is impressive?

Without being in the clubhouse and out there for BP everyday no one can really say. He has tinkered with the lineup without consulting guys feelings. Lou was a miserable cloud of helplessness that hung over the team. From the outside I am guessing that he has stopped the pity party and made guys be accountable and professional.

It looked like there were about 500 people in attendance at this game.
