The Cubs sent out a survey this week about some 'Improvements" they plan on making and it actually does seem pretty cool.

Example, would be in the RF "Well" the padded areas become fenced and you can sit next to the field, yes, just like at US Cell....of course the difference is the State isnt paying for it.

RF, BUD LIGHT Bleachers, might become Loge Sections.

Behind the plate will be like the Jim Beam section.

Swing and a miss. US Cellular paid for that.

Maybe the citizen of Mesa can pay for the Wrigley improvements too.

If Wrigely Field is so great, why does everyone always want to change it?

Well, can you blame them for wanting to at least upgrade it to have running water and electricity?

Was there a section on this survey where you could write in any improvements that they did not list already? Something such as including Hendry as part of the concrete mix for any foundation work they may be thinking of doing would probably meet the approval of those responding.

I'm still hearing they'll be playing the 2012 season at an Illinois Sports Facilities Authority stadium.

The park is fine the way it is. Fix the fucking team & the screwed up organization. All of Ricketts efforts have been directed at the one thing about the Cubs that isn't messed up...Wrigley Field.
Meanwhile, Crane Kenny & Jim Hendry still run the show.

It's all about trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of Wrigley Field and the fans. If I paid as much for the team as they did, I'd want some return on my investment as well.

Right...because Ricketts lost his ass last year & he now can barely afford to own the Cubs. This clown should own the Pittsburgh Pirates, not the Chicago Cubs.

Maybe if he wasn't paying interest on 600+ million plus that he borrowed to buy the team, he wouldn't have to have a sponsor for every fucking urinal in the joint.

Dumb.

Also getting really tired of every Cubs discussion turning into that Rickett's needs to fire Hendry. Everyone thinks that. There isn't a single person on this board who thinks differently. Let's try to do better.

Obviously not. Obviously there is at least one person who obviously feels different about that. Obviously, that person is here on the board, so obviously your statement is false.

I am staying out of Cubs business until after the holidays or until a major signing. whistler and scorehead are sucking all of the fun out of 102 years of futility. It's time to talk about da boo.

Take a look at the hit that Ricketts' net worth & their family business took last year due to the recession, & look at the debt the Ricketts incurred buying the Cubs. I have heard 2 or 3 different people on the Score who have said that Ricketts is stretched financially right now. If the recession has hit in 2008 Ricketts may not have bought the team.
If I can use Bobs term, the Cubs now have a Hooterville owner. I miss the Tribune Company already.
