Monday, April 25, 7:05 PM CT, Wrigley Field
Esmil Rogers 2-1, 6.75 ERA
Matt Garza 0-2, 4.74 ERA

Tuesday, April 26, 7:05 PM CT, Wrigley Field
Jorge De La Rosa 3-0, 3.00 ERA
James Russell 1-2, 8.00 ERA

Wednesday, April 27, 1:20 PM CT, Wrigley Field
Jhoulys Chacin 3-1, 2.67 ERA
Casey Coleman 1-1, 7.43 ERA

The fucking James Russell experiment continues. Wells and Cashner cant get back fast enough.

Garza wins tonight and strikes out 10, I dont like the way the rest of the series plays out. Cubs drop 2 of 3.

Fukudome RF
Barney 2B
Castro SS
Baker 3B
Pena 1B
Byrd CF
Soriano vLF
Soto C
Garza P

:?
I don't know what to make of this. I guess you gotta get what you can from Fook before he starts BLOWING in May. But Castro at 3rd, Baker at 4th, Pena at 5th and Byrd 6th confuses the shit out of me.
Pena should be batting fucking 8th. He is absolutely LOST at the plate right now. Baker hits cleanup? What the hell, is Wrigley Field on the moon with 1/6th the gravity of Earth because that's about the only way I see him putting up Power numbers to justify a stop at 4th. In his WHOLE FUCKING CAREER, he only has 15 PA's batting 4th.... AND HE HIT .154, OBP of .267 and slugging .154 which indicates to me that he should find a new vocation. What the HELL is he doing there? Christ! Maybe I should have put this in the Fire Quade thread.

Christ on a Pony, if that's true, the dude has no business being a manager.
This lineup is exhibit A on why I think he's a sucky manager. I get that it's a small sample size but wow. Bad.

Maybe he is just riding the hot bat right now. I know Baker has been nothing more then a decent utility guy in the past, but if not him then who? Castro & Barney have hit consistently. Fuku is doing OK,that' about it average wise. The fact that the lousy starting pitching and overall bad hitting yet the Cubs are just a game under .500 speaks well of Quade in my book.

Quade won too many games in the minors to be subscribing to this throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks philosophy he is using right now.

I think you put Sori in the clean up spot LONG before Jeff "What was that whizzing past my Bat" Baker.

Neat nickname  but Sori has swung at some unbeleivable shit, too. He is Mr. "0and2". Everytime he is up,that's the count.

That SSS thing is a commentary on the fallacy of using short term stats as holding any predictive value going forward. Most of the non-meatball variety can tell you the dangers of calling for a guy who blew up the first month as being the next Triple Crown winner. That being said, it takes but a single instance of poor decision making for the managerial chops to be questioned. Quade seems to be piling up quite a body of work in this department, the hell with the "It's Early..."

That was probably unnecessarily wordy

It took until October 2003 for me to start questioning Dusty.
Not until Game 2 of the 2008 playoffs for me to start wondering about Lou.
I'm scared of Quade already. He's less than what 50 games into his career? But he is one weird fucker and makes some really strange moves.

Weird? I don't see that. Just watched his postgame on Saturday. I see him as a guy who loves talking baseball and tries to answer every question. No more pregnant pauses and hemmin' & hawin'.

Oh yeah, No doubt that ricketts (closet homersexual) is a weird fucker and Hendry is a weird fucker. But Quade is an even weirder fucker and I am starting to think he might be best suited as a 3rd base coach.

I still want to know why he is not demanding a starting pitcher to fill the 5th spot in the rotation.

We're getting into Hendry territory here.
My list on Hendry is getting as long as my johnson. The more pressing issues:

No 5th starter.
Nothing in Iowa in case a starter gets hurt
Antonio Alphonseca's return under new name mateo
John Grabow [nancy kerrigan] WHY!!! WHY!!! [/nancy kerrigan]
Hiring Quade
Carlos Pena signing
Not moving Fook
Who exactly is your backup SS?
Jeff Samardzija (seven consecutive scoreless innings is a career high  )

And this is just this year's issues.

Because wavin his arms might be the best thing he does.
I guess I'm not sold on his management.

No, I loved Dusty... I LOVED the way he manhandled LaRussa during that 4 game series that first weekend of September 03. I didn't see the Ugly Side until he just sat and watched everything fall apart in the playoffs.

Lou, I liked Lou a bunch. I thought the 07 playoffs were unfortunate, but I was troowiddit as soon as the second playoff sweep happened. That was ridiculous. 0-3 in the playoffs is a thing, a bad thing, but 0-6 is INEXCUSABLE. You know this to be true. I have said over and over that he gave up on his team sometime in Sept 08. I stand by that.

I think he did say something BUT he sure would have looked good right about now.
He had an ERA just over 4 & struck out a lot of guys last year. He was just dumped for some comments? C'mon,I'm starting to beleive this Hendry-Bully stuff.
