Volquez (Game 2) has been pitching like crap and Z (Game 1) has been pitiching pretty well. It will be cold and wet tonight. I don't think seeing the Cubs take both is far fetched. I'd love to see Bailey have anohter great outing tonight, but this is bascially still spring training/beginnin of season for him.

Bailey is off to a good start, but both of those are against the Astros. Think the Cubs will get to him tonight. 6-4, 6-5 kind of Cubs win.

Just like the pitching match-up tomorrow.

And just want to be optimistic about a series for once

I caught myself thinking "I wish we had kept Justin Berg instead of Mateo"....then I cried.

Then I see it is mid May and Darwin Barney has as many HR and more RBI than Ramirez....I cried some more.

I am about to throw in the towel on this Cub season.

They should do anything possible to dump Soriano, including eating 55M of the 60M owed or whatever. The guy is just brutal in the outfield and his hot streaks are shorter and not anywhere near enough to offset all his other issues.

For all the grief Soriano gets, at least he will hit an occassional HR. To me the biggest waste of talent is Ramirez.

The guy has 1 fuckin HR, and is 0-15 with runners in scoring position and two outs this year.

A few years ago he was THE GUY you would want in clutch RBI situations, now he is the ultimate rally killer. I would rather see Baker get some consecutive starts at 3rd, and sit Ramirez down.

Bad base running by Soriano, but DeJesus should have been jumping up and down trying to get Soriano to stop instead of just standing there.

Of course if Dejesus did indeed wave him home, the Cubs should be looking for a new 3rd base coach.

I just saw DeJesus on the replay standing there as Soriano passed him, but Brenly said it was a bad send by Dejesus, not sure if Brenly saw something we didn't.

One last thing that bothered me about this game,

the bullpen is somewhat rested, it is a close game in the 6th inning and your playing the division leaders and the first pitcher Quade brings in is Mateo?!!!

Bring in Shark (who is pitching better lately) or Marshall. That 6th inning was the ballgame and Quade brought in Mateo. Dumb move.

This is a fourth place team playing as such. They are not good in the field, run the bases like shit, cannot hit with men on. Fuckin Homer Bailey walks them loaded and this pile of shit cannot push a run across the plate. Fuckin pathetic.
