I am worried this bum is going ruin the Cubs for another 5 years with more bad contracts. They need to get a new GM before next offseason.

I am hoping Ricketts didn't fire Hendry last year because he wanted a new GM to come in with some room in the budget.
Lets hope he said, "fuck it let Hendry deal with this shitty team one more year and then I'll fire him, Trump style and get a REAL gm here for year 3."

This next offseason is HUGE for the Cubs. Hendry should not be given another chance to field a team. How many bad deals is it going to take for Ricketts to finally launch this guy?

the sad part is, the rickkety family is going to put the brakes on big contracts no matter who is in the GM position. they are going to cry poor cause they want the city/state to pay for wrigley repairs. no free money, means no big free agent signings.

They will spend money like the Tribune did. Not trying to win, just to be competitive enough get some butts in the seats.

They have already demonstrated that this year with Garza and Pena. Neither fits into the plans they bragged about "Building in the farm system" crap. Garza cost them the farm system and they couldn't even afford Pena so 50% of his salary is deferred till next year!

These people made a huge mistake in buying this team for what they paid, when they did.

Where does the $55M number come from? Is that assuming Ryan Dempster does not pick up his $14M player option?
