I have a problem with Z calling out Marmol, but someone in that organization needed to call out this team publicly. It should've come from Quade though. Instead of worrying about losing the veterans and losing his job, it would be helpful if he just managed this team.

As for the Woj article, the Cubs should trade Z because he's overpaid and they need to free up salary, not because he shoots his mouth off.

Marmol should have thrown the fastball. We all agree. But that comment needs to come from Quade. When Z says it, he sounds selfish, which is how people perceive him already.

That's how I read it too, but too many times in the past has he put himself in front of the team.

You know who else could say something? Carlos Pena. How many times did the media go on and on about what a great leader this guy is? Well, now would be a good time for him to lead. It's obvious the manager isn't going to do it.

Let's see how the season plays out with Pena. I still need to see more from him. Ramirez is a gonner though. And they should try to move Byrd as well. Put Brett Jackson in center and go sign somebody to play right.
