I know it was hot and he wasn't pitching really well, but after 3 innings I wonder when Demp left the ballpark to get ready for his fundraiser tonight?

I don't even blame the guy and I don't think it is a reflection on him, it's a reflection on Quade who has totally lost this team, so he brings "Cassie" and "Barn" in the dugout to yell at them???

Ironically, the guy with the most power in that whole organization right now is Starlin. Imagine if someone gets to him and tells him to tell Quade to fuck off? Whatever future this club has rests with him, this kid has "hand" and doesn't know it yet!

You blame Quade for Dempster not trying?

You don't think him not trying/quitting is a reflection on Dempster?

I don't agree with you here, if my boss was an asshole/idiot, it doesn't give me the right to mail it or change my work ethic.

I think Dempster and everyone else except the younger players, feels and knows Quade is done and they are gong to do what they want. In this case Demp had a fundraiser and once he was down 6-1 int he third, he TOLD quade to get someone else in.

Demp has saved up some major good will in this organization and he cashed some in today.

Ok, so you're admitting it's Dempster's fault then.

I wouldn't say he is quitting or not trying but I can't see anyone on this team locked in and focused on winning ballgames. They still show up and give an individual effort but there is no team coherency right now. No one is on the same page and that is Quade's fault. He changes the lineup nearly everyday and has little rhyme or reason for how he assembles it. The starters have been bad most of this year and then when they put out a good effort he finds a way to fuck it up with his mindless bullpen management.

Yes, the 6 runs, in 3 innings are all him, but he was not totally terrible. They didnt score 6 runs off him in one inning and he couldn't get anyone out. He knew they are not winning and he had somewhere better to be.

If Quade really had some balls he would have called out Demp and said if a rookie can do it why cant you?

The difference is I am not pissed at Dempster at this point. That clubhouse is a timebomb and Quade yelling at Cassie and Barn is what came of it?

Just because you believe the manager is done doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want. I know when my manager is leaving/getting fired, I still can't do whatever the hell I please no matter how much good will I have done.

I understand that the team is horrible right now, but you have to take accountability for your own actions/work ethic.

I highly doubt he asked out. He had 86 pitches and was terrible and it was hot as hell out there. They had another starter's arm to burn with ortiz in the pen and his spot to hit was up. He probably sat in there playing cards and watching the rest of that shit on the clubhouse tv. While he may have wanted to quit on Quade I can not see him leaving the rest of his teammates there while he takes it to the house literally.

Were you watching todays game? Shit look at the game thread, I was saying in the first inning that he was fooling nobody, he was gonna be toast early. Dempster was indeed totally terrible. He was getting guys out on accident.

Why do you think Ram doesn't want leave? It is a fuckin playground/country club for the cocksuckers. Lame duck manager and GM . They do not give a flying fuck. Castro should tell Q Ball to go fuck himself.

Agree playing cards, already showered as well.

I think they all want to leave everyday, the point was demp had somewhere to be and I think his mind was there the whole time and he didnt care about todays game. Then again I am saying nobody cars.

This is what happens in really poorly run companies, when the shit hits the fans and the owner says nothing or in Ricketts case today denial of something that either he did or Schuster's source lied to him? and to be honest I trust Schuster way more than I trust Ricketts.

last year the same thing happened...the Cubs got slaughtered on the day of Dempster's fundraiser, they were 20 games under, and all the guys in the locker room had smiles on their faces, dressing up in their tuxedos, looking forward to the fundraiser...or some kind of charity event anyway...this was like late July or August...right before Lou quit i think
