Kaner threw out the first pitch and it while it was a probably a low and outside ball it at least resembled a pitch!!

Not the most interesting series in the world.....just one for each team to pad some stats it seems.

Dontrelle looks to be pitching today.

The rest of the troops should arrive tomorrow as Iowa finishes up today so expect to see Cashner in the pen.

It's Sept 5th the Cubs are 20 games under .500 and 23.5 games out of first place and they have 1 player in the starting lineup who is 25 years old or younger. Gotta get to that magic 70 win total!!!

Thank you for pointing that out. That statistic is sickening. I can not wait until the country club vanishes.

I was reading something today that said the cubs are leaning towards bringing Pena back? Who is leaning towards bringing Pena back? Is Randy Bush going to drop him a new contract? Its not that I am opposed to this idea but why is anyone discussing this without the GM in place.

Douchebag Quade should feel obligated to play LaHair after last night but I doubt he will want to piss of his guys Sori or Carly. Still haven't posted the lineups yet.

I wouldn't mind seeing DJ at 2nd or 3rd tonight as well.

Another move that is kind of shocking is that they didn't recall Wellington Castillo. Who the hell doesn't bring up a 3rd catcher when they can? Hill never needs to play again and there is no need to burn up the amount of games Soto's knees are going to take.

FWIW I heard on the broadcast last night that Castillo has an injury and has been shut down for the rest of the year thats the reason they didn't bring him up
