so what did the guy even do, let's say day-to-day??

we all knew he wasnt gonna be responsible for any "big" moves...basically he was just a name to sit in the GM chair

but really, let's think a little deeper...surely there must have been some day-to-day things that he did, no? stuff like talking with Cubs minor-league officials, or whatever....I doubt he was on the phones at all talking trades with anyone

anyone know what he did while GM? Im lookin for serious answers....the question really is a question about the mundane day to day things that a GM would do...there must be some things otherwise they wouldnt have named him or anybody GM
