ESPNBoston.com reports: The Cubs will be prohibited from hiring anyone else from the Red Sox organization for three years after hiring away one of Boston's area scouts this week, according to a major league source.

As for compensation owed the Red Sox for the Cubs' hiring of Theo Epstein, the issue is being treated as an afterthought and Boston isn't expected to receive more than one or two run-of-the-mill prospects.
