Cubs now 4-2 w Campy.

Sure, I dont want the guy as my long time CF Solution, but as a 5th OF, he is a great player! Pinch run in late inning games, bunts are not sacrifices with this guy.

Said it once, will say it again, Bobby Cox always had this type of player on his roster! The guy is menace to other teams!

Late in a game with the giggy gets tight and this guy is jumping around on base! Good things happen!

I don't have a problem with him playing everyday as long as the rest of the outfield and corner infield supplies power and drives in runs.

Too small, too tired, would wear down to quick. I mean he basically can't really hit a ball.

If he could do the good Juan Pierre act and keep it up though.....

Cubs are clearly a better team when he is in the lineup. Play his ass until he breaks down in a couple months.

100% agreed, no reason to have reed johnson on the roster over this guy at the beginning of the season. They should be taking advantage of his unique skill set. Too bad it is a luxury that would be useful on a good team but wasted here.

My entire life when I see the Cubs farm system reports I look at the SB's and always see one guy with 60+ SB's and they never appear in the bigs.

Then I see Bobby Cox talking about Otis Nixon and his hitting and he says "who cares if he can hit, he can run, I use him to run."

Career 270 guy with 620 SB's

one run games, 7th 8th 9th, anyone got on and Otis would come in to pinch run, steal second, sometimes 3rd, the definition of manufacturing a run.

It's not like he didn't play 120+ games a season in the minors.
